PC workstations in Pool 3 (New Augusteum)
The University Computer Centre provides PC workstations in central PC pools. Pool 3 is additionally equipped with iMacs. Furthermore, there is a DTP pool where you can scan and edit images.
Our service for you
Location: Neues Augusteum on the second floor, right side staircase (Augustusplatz 10, 04109 Leipzig)
This service offers users:
- 12 Windows PC workstations with Internet connection and the following specifications:
Hardware: 12x ThinClient with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), 24" monitor; 3 seats with dual monitor in portrait format and 3 seats with monitor in portrait format.
Operating system: Windows 10
Software: Firefox, Edge, LibreOffice, OpenOffice, MS Office 2019, Inkscape, Paint.Net, Gimp, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Citavi 6, MiKTeX, SPSS 27 / Amos, R / RStudio, Matlab, Audacity
Printer: b/w and colour laser printer in room A256 - 9 iMac PC workstations with Internet connection and the following specifications:
Hardware: iMac (Retina 5K, 27 Zoll), 3,2 GHz Intel Core 5, 8 GB Ram, USB, Firewire, Bluetooth
Operating system: OS X 10.14 (Mojave)
Software: MS Office 2016, iBooks Author, LaTex, Affinity Photo, Mac-Anwendungen
Printer and scanner: b/w BrHL-S7000dn (A4), colour laser Lexmark C925 (A4 and A3), scanner Perfection V370 Photo with transparency unit (4800 dpi) - 3 scanner positions with the following specifications:
Hardware: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8500 CPU @ 3.00GHz (6 cores), 32 GB Ram, 21" monitor, DVD-RAM, USB ports.

PREREQUISITES
The use of the service requires compliance with the following regulations:
- For all services of the University Computer Centre, the IuK usage regulations of the University Computer Centre of the University of Leipzig apply in principle. Misuse of services of the University Computer Centre may lead to the termination of the usage permit and, if applicable, to criminal proceedings.
