The DigMa project aims to standardise and automate the collection, storage and communication of maintenance information in the wind industry. Uniform interfaces and holistic information flows between the players involved are intended to optimise maintenance processes as well as upstream and downstream processes.
Project description
Project approach
Within the framework of the DigMa sub-project, which is being worked on at the University of Leipzig, the current use of standards and norms in maintenance communication in the wind industry is being investigated and evaluated. The focus is on the inter-company communication relationships and the information logistics in the maintenance processes. To ensure optimal interoperability and inter-operational consistency, maintenance communication should be based on common standards. This is of great importance for maintenance service providers and plant manufacturers as well as for operators of complex and technically heterogeneous plant portfolios.
Project goal
The DigMa (Digitalisation of Maintenance Information) project aims to standardise and automate the collection, storage and communication of maintenance information in the wind industry. The maintenance processes as well as upstream and downstream processes are to be optimised through uniform interfaces and holistic information flows between the players involved. The work in the University of Leipzig's sub-project "Standards in Maintenance" represents a continuation and expansion of previous research activities in the wind industry, such as the life cycle file of wind turbines, with a focus on maintenance. The University of Leipzig has been involved in standardisation in the areas of documentation, information management, operation and maintenance of technical systems for years.
Implementation
Within the framework of the project, guidelines, norms and standards relevant to maintenance communication are identified. This normative basis will be contrasted with today's maintenance processes and the associated communication relationships. The identified potentials will be described as reference processes in the course of the project and examined with regard to their economic effects and potentials. The results will be incorporated into the standardisation work to secure the results in the long term.
