SmartHaPSSS is a research project funded by the BMBF and PTKA on “Harmonising the development of complex product smart service systems in SMEs”. Within the project, potentials for harmonisation in the development of products, services, information technology structures and business models are to be worked out.
Duration: 01.06.2020 - 30.11.2023
Funding Organisation: Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)
Participating institutions of Leipzig University:
Department of Research and Development (University Computing Centre (URZ))
Institute for Applied Computer Science e. V. (affiliated institute at Leipzig University)
Project description
The aim of the joint project is to harmonise the individual activities in the development of product smart service solutions, which have so far been separated from each other. In particular, the innovation of physical products and the associated development of services and business models are to be coordinated and suitable information technology structures such as simulation environments and wizards are to be developed. However, it is important here not to reduce the autonomy of the individual activities, but to maintain their character and momentum in order to enable value-creating harmonisation. In the SmartHaPSSS project, these lines of research development are linked together.
The aim of the project is to derive resilient concepts, procedures and instruments for industrial innovation processes from the existing work and to test them by piloting them in practice.
The aim of the sub-project is to develop the technical foundations (from the requirements to the prototype) that are necessary for the harmonisation of innovation and product and service development processes. In particular, the aim is to develop a new type of simulation environment (by means of a simulation model) that supports the development of product smart service systems.
