Procurement support for hardware
The URZ helps you to procure different hardware. We advise you on the various options available to you. Often there are framework agreements that facilitate the acquisition of hardware.
Our service for you
- Support in the procurement of hardware within the framework agreement with the company alpha2000 for:
- Personal Computers
- notebooks
- monitors
- printers
- accessories
- Support in setting up and connecting the devices to the power supply system
- Ordering hardware via the online shop without obtaining comparative offers or invitations to tender
- Support in the ordering process After selecting the products
- Advice, support and assistance in the procurement of server technology from HP on the basis of an existing framework agreement
- Advice, support and assistance with the procurement of network technology

Options
Leipzig University has a framework agreement with Cancom for the procurement of Apple products for official purposes. Orders are placed via the ELVI online shop). All Apple products (laptops, desktops, iPads) can be purchased there without a call for tenders or comparative offers. Phones/iPhone are not available in this shop. If you want to use this online shop, you must first log in with your university login (e.g. ab12cdef) and the corresponding password.
PREREQUISITES
The use of the service requires compliance with the following regulations:
- For all services of the University Computer Centre, the IuK usage regulations of the University Computer Centre of the University of Leipzig apply in principle. Misuse of services of the University Computer Centre may lead to the termination of the usage permit and, if applicable, to criminal proceedings.

Information on the procurement of network technology
Network technology such as switches, routers or WLAN access points are procured and installed exclusively by the URZ. The framework contract for network technology concluded by the URZ applies.
