Work device management (laptop, PC, tablet)
Employees of Leipzig University can have the URZ professionally manage their university-owned IT work devices. This includes the installation of operating systems, patch management and the protection of end devices against malware/viruses.
OUR SERVICE FOR YOU
The service offers the user:
- Set up and manage university-owned Windows and Mac devices (laptop, PC, tablet)
- Integration into the Leipzig University network
- Current operating system
- Standard programmes under Windows (Office, Adobe, Firefox, Thunderbird, VLC player, Irfanview, Nextcloud, Notepad++, remote maintenance option, Cisco AnyConnect (mobile devices), GIMP)
- Current security software (anti-virus)
- Standard programmes under Mac
Requirements
The use of the service requires compliance with the following regulations:
- For all services of the University Computer Centre, the IuK usage regulations of the University Computer Centre of the University of Leipzig apply in principle. Misuse of services of the University Computer Centre may lead to the termination of the usage permit and, if applicable, to criminal proceedings.
