The University Computer Centre must regularly carry out maintenance work on the University's active network components and servers, which may lead to short-term interruptions in the use of network services.
Short-term interruptions may affect the following servers, among others:
- server1.rz.uni-leipzig.de
- studserv.uni-leipzig.de
- news1.uni-leipzig.de
- proxy.uni-leipzig.de
- ftp.uni-leipzig.de
- mail.uni-leipzig.de
- Nameservers (139.18.25.3, 139.18.1.2, 139.18.1.17)
In order to make this work plannable, the University Computer Centre is introducing the following general maintenance window, based on existing regulations for the central pools:
- Mondays from 7 to 9 a.m.
The introduction of the maintenance window does not mean that the network will generally be unavailable during this time, but only that the possibility of brief outages in the use of network services should be expected during this period.
If it is necessary to ensure failure-free operation during this time due to special events (e.g. conferences), please contact us in good time.
